Our Services
Comprehensive
Eye Exams
Take care of your entire family’s vision by scheduling regular eye exams at Freeman Eye Care. For those who don’t need vision correction (contact lenses or glasses) and who don’t have a family history of eye disease, schedule a comprehensive eye exam at least once every two years. For those with a family history of eye diseases, Dr. Freeman recommends annual eye exams. For those who wear glasses and/or contacts, schedule an eye exam every year to make sure your prescription is up-to-date and you can see as clearly as possible. Freeman Eye Care offers Optomap ultra-widefield retinal imaging with unparalleled high-resolution views of the retina to treat patients more effectively and find eye diseases earlier. During your eye exam, Dr. Freeman will review your results on a screen. Using Optomap during comprehensive eye exams improves Dr. Freeman’s ability to diagnose ocular diseases like macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and hypertension.
Contact Lens
Exams
For some people, glasses are not the best way to correct their vision. Glasses can interfere with an active lifestyle, which is why Freeman Eye Care offers contact lens exams and a wide range of styles and brands to fit each patient’s needs. During a contact lens exam, Dr. Freeman will assess your vision and what type of lens will be the best fit. For first time contact users, Dr. Freeman can give you tips on putting in your new lenses, taking them out, and how to care for them.
Primary Care
In addition to regular visits to your general physician and dentist, everyone should schedule eye exams to have their vision evaluated and their eyes checked for early signs of diseases like cataracts and glaucoma. It is also helpful to have a trusted optometrist, like Dr. Freeman, who knows your medical history in the event of an eye emergency.
Cataracts
A common concern in adults after they turn 40, cataracts cloud the lens of the eye, and many people don’t know they have a problem until their vision becomes blurry. However, with regular eye exams at Freeman Eye Care, the earliest signs of cataracts can be detected and treated before vision problems start. Dr. Freeman checks all adult patients for cataracts during their comprehensive eye exam.
Eye Emergencies
In the event of an eye emergency, contact Freeman Eye Care right away for an appointment. An eye emergency may include a scratch to the eye, a foreign object stuck in the eye, chemicals splashed in the eye, signs of an eye infection, or more. It is important to seek professional help if you have changes in your vision, you see flashing lights, have red eyes, eye discharge, or other concerns. Dr. Freeman can assess the problem and create a treatment plan.
